Al Rayyan coach, Younes Ali, has confirmed that their upcoming match against Al Shamal in the 10th round of the Ooredoo Stars League will be tough and crucial. Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Ali said, “The Al Shamal match is very important for us, especially considering their strong performance in the first half of the season. Our current position in the league makes this match even more challenging and significant. We need to work harder to secure the three points.”
Ali highlighted that the team is in optimal condition for this match and morale is high following their recent victory against Pakhtakor in the AFC Champions League Elite.
He added, “Al Shamal are playing very well and have some great attacking players. We must be cautious and the team needs to be fully focused from the first to the last minute to get the three points. It will be a tough match for both teams, and we need to be mentally prepared to handle the small details to win.”
Ali revealed that the team has played well in the previous four matches but has lacked the ability to convert chances into goals.
He continued, “We will start with the upcoming match against Al Shamal. Our focus now is on the current group and winning the next four finals – two in the league and two in the AFC Champions League. After that, there will be a significant break, and we will then think about reinforcing the team.”
