Younes Ali, the coach of Al Rayyan, has emphasized the importance of the upcoming match against Al Khor in the seventh round of the Ooredoo Stars League. During the press conference held on the sidelines of this match, he stated: ‘The match against Al Khor is crucial. Its significance lies in recouping the points lost in previous rounds, climbing higher in the league standings, distancing ourselves from the bottom, and gradually working towards achieving the best possible position. The team has prepared well during the international break, taking advantage of the QSL Cup matches to prepare most of the players. Additionally, our internationals have returned from their national team duties and participated in today’s training session. I believe the team is fully prepared to put on a good performance against Al Khor.’
He added: ‘The match against Al Khor is a tough one, especially since they are looking to make up for their previous loss and will be playing at home in front of their fans. I believe our team has performed well during this break, delivering good performances but unfortunately missed some opportunities. We are seeking to secure points by any means possible to give us more comfort and to perform better in the upcoming matches. The team has big names and exceptional tools, but we need a little more time for the team to reach its peak performance.
