Younes Ali, the coach of Al-Rayyan, expressed his gratitude to Al-Nassr Saudi Club for their excellent hospitality since the team’s arrival in Riyadh. During the press conference held on the sidelines of Al-Rayyan and Al-Nassr’s match in the second round of the AFC Champions League, he stated: “The team’s preparations are good, and both teams are looking to make up for their losses in this match. Al-Rayyan lost to Al-Hilal in the first round, and Al-Nassr drew with Al-Shorta. The match will be tough, especially against such a strong opponent with talented players. However, I have great confidence in the players to deliver a distinguished performance, and the team will be determined to put on their best show.”
He added, “I haven’t completed a week with the team since taking over as coach of Al-Rayyan, but with time, the harmony will be better. The team is determined to make up for the loss, so tomorrow’s match against Al-Nassr will be the beginning of Al-Rayyan’s return to positive results.”
Younes considered it a great honor to be at the helm of Al-Rayyan’s technical staff, especially as he is a son of Al-Rayyan and has achieved many accomplishments with the team as a player. He hopes to achieve these accomplishments as a coach with the team. He said, “Since childhood, I have supported Al-Rayyan, and I have managed to win many titles with the team. Therefore, I seek to repeat the same achievement as a coach.”
He continued, “Al-Nassr is a well-known team with big names, and the team is ready for this confrontation. All the players are determined to deliver a great match against Al-Nassr, and we expect a lot from the big players in the team such as Trezeguet and all the players who have great experience in the team.
