With 3-0 Victory, Al Rayyan Advances to the Final of the Most Prestigious Cup

 

Al Rayyan’s football team achieved a remarkable feat by qualifying for the final of the 2025 Amir Cup, following a resounding 3-0 victory over Al Ahli in the semi-final match held on Sunday evening, May 18, 2025, at Jasim bin Hamad Stadium at Al Sadd Club.

The match saw clear dominance from Al Rayyan, who displayed a high fighting spirit and exceptional tactical organization under the leadership of Portuguese coach Artur Jorge. The team’s players excelled in capitalizing on opportunities, scoring three goals that confirmed their well-deserved superiority, securing Al Rayyan’s place in the final for the 19th time in their history as they continue their quest to end a 12-year title drought.

Al Rayyan took the lead in the 30th minute through a goal by Adam Barreiro, who added a second in the 37th minute. In the 89th minute, Roger Guedes sealed the victory with a third goal from a penalty kick, further solidifying Al Rayyan’s dominance.

With this win, Al Rayyan prepares to compete in the final on May 24, 2025, where they will face the winner of the other semi-final match between Al Gharafa and Umm Salal in an eagerly anticipated showdown at Khalifa International Stadium.
