Wesley expressed his happiness at returning to play with the team again, stating during the press conference for the Al-Rayyan and Al-Arabi match: “I am very happy to return to the pitch as quickly as possible, as we planned when the injury occurred. I was aspiring to return and help the team as I did in the beginning. I am happy to return to play in finals and win titles with the team. I also officially welcome the new coach, and I am glad that the recovery plan was successful and I managed to shorten the time to return and help my teammates.”
He added: “Winning is very important for the players, the technical staff, and the club, which has been away from the podiums for a while. I believe this group emerged from the past finals stronger and more prepared for what is to come.
