Vicente Moreno, manager of Al Rayyan, emphasized the importance of the upcoming match against Al Shamal in the Qatar Cup semi-finals. Speaking at the pre-match press conference held today, he said: “This is a very important match for us because it’s our first opportunity to reach a final this season, and securing a win tomorrow is crucial for us. We know the match will be very difficult as we are facing a very good side, but I have full confidence in my players and team. I hope we play a great game and win tomorrow if possible.”
He added: “We are well aware that the match won’t be easy against a tough team like Al Shamal, but we have great confidence in all our players and our ability to deliver a strong performance to win and advance to the final.”
Regarding absences and physical readiness, Moreno explained that the team will be missing key players such as Mitrović due to injury. However, he stressed that full focus is on the available players and the readiness of those taking part in the match, reiterating his great trust in the squad and their ability to fill any gaps.
