A thrilling 2-2 draw was the final result of the match between Al-Rayyan and Al-Shabab (Saudi Arabia) at Al-Shabab Club Stadium, as part of the fourth round of the Gulf Champions League.
With this result, Al-Rayyan increased their tally to 6 points, maintaining their position at the top of the group, while Al-Shabab rose to 3 points, remaining in fourth place in the group standings.
Al-Rayyan took the lead early in the fourth minute through Brazilian player Wesley, who then added a second goal in the 40th minute, sending the Qatari side into halftime with a comfortable 2-0 advantage.
In the second half, Abdullah Maatouk scored Al-Shabab’s first goal in the 52nd minute, before Abdulrazak Hamdallah equalized for the Saudis in the 57th minute.
