Delegation from Abu Dhabi Athletics Club visits Al Rayyan and Ahmed bin Ali Stadium

 

On Tuesday, a delegation from Abu Dhabi Sports Club, headed by Mr. Khalid Rashid Al Zaabi, the club’s chairman, visited Al Rayyan Sports Club. The delegation was welcomed by Engineer Mohammed Al Atwan, Al Rayyan’s general supervisor, and Mr. Rashid Al Hajeri, the head of the club’s athletics department. The delegation from Abu Dhabi Athletics Club included Dr. Hisham Al Sayed, a board member, Aisha Al Taniji, the chairman’s office manager, and Shamsa Al Balooshi, a nutritionist.

During the visit, the delegation toured Al Rayyan’s athletics facilities and training sessions. Al Rayyan officials also took the Abu Dhabi delegation on a tour of Ahmed bin Ali Stadium, one of the stadiums that hosted the best World Cup in history. Al Atwan and Al Zaabi exchanged commemorative shields during the visit.

Engineer Mohammed Al Atwan, Al Rayyan’s general supervisor, welcomed the delegation from Abu Dhabi Athletics Club, saying that the delegation was in their second home and that Al Rayyan’s doors are open to everyone. He added that the visit came in light of the strong ties and relations between the two clubs.

Al Atwan pointed out that the delegation was impressed with Al Rayyan’s athletics facilities. He said that the visit came to strengthen relations between the two clubs and to increase cooperation in all areas, especially in athletics. Al Atwan revealed that the two clubs are looking to increase cooperation and exchange experiences in all sports fields that serve Gulf sports and athletics in particular.
