Al-Rayyan staged a comeback against Al-Sailiya after trailing by a goal, clinching a 3-1 win in the match held this evening at Ahmed Bin Ali Stadium, Al-Rayyan Club, marking the opening of the Doha Bank Stars League.
Al-Sailiya took the lead in the 20th minute through Hadi Ali. However, Julian De Sart equalized for Al-Rayyan in the 68th minute. Roger Guedes then scored the go-ahead goal in the 82nd minute and sealed the victory with a third goal in the 90th minute.
