Al Rayyan made a strong return to the second half of the Ooredoo Stars League, defeating Umm Salal 6-2 in a match held at Grand Hamad Stadium this evening.
With this result, Al Rayyan climbed to fifth place in the league table with 16 points, while Umm Salal remained in eighth place with 14 points.
Al Rayyan took the lead in the 6th minute through Achraf Bencharki, before Anthony Mance equalized for Umm Salal in the 43rd minute. In the second minute of added time, Osama Tannane scored Umm Salal’s second goal, ending the first half with Umm Salal leading 2-1.
In the second half, Achraf Bencharki managed to equalize in the 60th minute, before scoring again to put Al Rayyan ahead in the 68th minute. Roger Guedes then scored the fourth goal in the 77th minute, followed by Tamim Mansour’s fifth goal in the 84th minute. David Garcia headed in the sixth goal in the 88th minute.
