Al Rayyan FC suffered a 1-2 defeat to Al Ahli Saudi FC in their match in the third round of the AFC Champions League Elite, held at Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium.
Al Ahli took the lead in the 16th minute through Gabri Veiga, and Frass Al-Buraikan added a second goal for Al Ahli in the 38th minute. Fahd Al-Hamad inadvertently pulled one back for Al Rayyan by scoring an own goal in the 65th minute.
