Al Rayyan Sports Club’s General Assembly meeting was held this evening to complete the agenda item of electing the club’s management. During the meeting, His Excellency Sheikh Al-Qaqa’a bin Hamad Al Thani was elected as the president of Al Rayyan Sports Club, Mr. Ali Salem as vice president, and Engineer Mohammed Al-Atwan as the club’s general supervisor and executive director of Al Rayyan Football Club Company for the coming period.
The club had previously held a General Assembly meeting last Thursday, during which it approved the previous minutes dated 7/31/2023 and 8/6/2023. Subsequently, the meeting discussed the report of His Excellency the club president on the club’s activities in the fiscal year ending 2024/2023, along with the activity programs and work plan for the upcoming year 2025/2024. The meeting also approved the final account for the fiscal year 2024/2023 and the draft budget for the upcoming fiscal year 2025/2024. Furthermore, the report of the auditor for the fiscal year 2024/2023 was discussed, and an auditor was appointed for the fiscal year 2025/2024, along with the estimation of his fees. Finally, the meeting considered the proposals submitted by the esteemed members of the General Assembly.
Mr. Ali Salem Al-Afifa expressed his gratitude to His Excellency Sheikh Al-Qaqa’a bin Hamad Al Thani for his confidence and for choosing him to be part of his team. He also thanked the esteemed members of the General Assembly for their trust in the club’s management, affirming that the management will spare no effort in supporting Al Rayyan Club in all sports and fields to always be on the podiums.
Affifa indicated that the club’s management will continue working according to the long-term strategic plan that was developed last season to elevate Al Rayyan Club, which has yielded results through victories in various sports and the football team finishing second in the General League and Qatar Cup.
In the same context, and on behalf of His Excellency Sheikh Al-Qaqa bin Hamad Al Thani, Engineer Mohamed Al-Atwan expressed his gratitude to His Excellency Sheikh Ali bin Saud Al Thani for his contributions to the club during his tenure as both president and vice president.
