Al Rayyan secured second place in the Expo Stars League standings after defeating Al Sadd 4-0 in the Qatar Clasico at the Ahmed bin Ali Stadium on Sunday, the final day of the league.
With this result, Al Rayyan’s tally rose to 47 points, securing second place behind Al Sadd, who remained at the top with 49 points.
Al Rayyan took the lead in the 15th minute through Rogerio Guedes’ powerful shot from outside the box. Rodrigo Moreno doubled the lead in the 50th minute with a header, before substitute Gabriel Pereira added the third goal in the 90th minute after a brilliant assist from Tabata. In stoppage time, young player Ahmed Al Rawi scored the fourth goal.
