Al Rayyan and Al Gharafa played out a thrilling 2-2 draw at the top of the Ooredoo Stars League matchday 14, in a match held this evening at the Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium.
With this result, Al Rayyan’s points tally rose to 18, placing them sixth in the league table, while Al Gharafa climbed to 28 points, securing second place in the Ooredoo Stars League.
Al Gharafa took the lead through Joselu in the 5th minute, before Adam Berryor equalized in the 14th. Amro Suraj restored Al Gharafa’s advantage in the 55th minute, but a penalty awarded to Youssef Msakni in the 90+2nd minute was converted by Roger Guedes to salvage a draw for Al Rayyan.
