Al Rayyan clinched the General Table Tennis League title before the end of the tournament, after defeating Al Arabi 3-2 in the match that took place between the two teams in the eighth round of the General League.
With this result, Al Rayyan’s points total rose to 16 in first place in the overall league standings. Al Rayyan has one remaining match in the end of the league against Al Wakrah to be officially crowned champions, which will be held on Tuesday next week.
