Al Rayyan and Iran’s Persepolis played out a 1-1 draw in a highly anticipated match of the AFC Champions League Elite Group Stage. The match took place at the Ahmad bin Ali Stadium, home of Al Rayyan.
Persepolis took the lead in the 17th minute through Farshid Faraji, but Al Rayyan’s Achraf Bencharki equalized in the 57th minute.
With this result, Al Rayyan’s points tally increased to 4, while Persepolis’ points rose to 3.
Al Rayyan lined up with Paulo Victor in goal, Amidou Balde, David Garcia, Andre Amaro, and Murad Naji in defense, Abdulaziz Hatem, Julian De Sart, and Mohamed Siraj in midfield, and Achraf Bencharki, Mahmoud Trezeguet, and Roger Guedes in attack.
