Al Rayyan player David Garcia emphasized the players’ readiness to face Lusail, stating during the press conference: “Well, the goal as a player and as a team—and as the coach said, we are at a big club like Al Rayyan—our main goal must be to win the league. Alongside the league, we have several other competitions, I believe up to 6 competitions this year, and our goal is to try to win as many of them as possible. We naturally know it won’t be easy, but we are professionals and we are at a club like Al Rayyan striving to win titles. Without a doubt, the primary goal must be to win the league because in previous years we were unable to achieve that.”
He added: “I believe that professional and local players all think the same way. I think we are ahead of an exciting year, and as mentioned, we have many titles ahead of us. We currently have a broad squad where there will be playing minutes for everyone, and it is important for everyone to be ready to seize the opportunities; because competing in this large number of tournaments requires maximum readiness from us. We will need everyone to be mentally prepared to face this in the best possible way to reach our goal of trying to win these titles.”
