Al-Rayyan coach Vicente Moreno expressed his happiness after qualifying for the final of the Gulf Champions League following a 2-0 victory over Kuwait’s Al-Qadsia. In the post-match press conference, he said:
“First of all, we are happy with the qualification. However, we must not forget that we will be playing every three days. It is very important to win the title because victories give confidence. The team is coming from a series of wins, we are in an upward trajectory, and we are competing on multiple fronts after winning the QSL Cup and now reaching the final of this competition.”
He added: “I hope we can win another title. But we must know that the match against Al-Shabab will be difficult. I worked with Al-Shabab three years ago, so I know their team very well. Nevertheless, we will work hard to achieve the title. In this club, we always compete for trophies. Whether we play against Al-Shabab or any other team, it’s the same for us.”
Moreno sent a message to the fans, saying: “I invite all the fans to come and support us, because we need them to win the title. The match will be difficult, but with the presence of the fans, it will become much easier for us.”
