“Al Raheeb” Youth Soar to the World Stage.. Abkar and Munir Qualify for the World Athletics Championships in Oregon
In a new sporting achievement added to the records of the “Al Raheeb Fortress,” two stars from Al Rayyan Club’s Athletics team, Idris Abkar and Mohammed Munir, have successfully secured qualification spots for the World U20 Athletics Championships, scheduled to be held in Eugene, Oregon, in the United States.
The qualification of the Al Duhail and Al Rayyan champions came after they delivered impressive technical performances and outstanding times during the qualifiers, demonstrating great determination to compete at the international level.
Our champions recorded strong personal bests that placed them at the forefront of the qualifiers:
-Idris Abkar achieved a time of 51.84 seconds, confirming his high readiness to compete in the global event.
– Mohammed Munir managed to qualify with a time of 52.52 seconds, accompanying his teammate on this World Championships journey.
The list also included player Faisal Abdullah, who recorded a time of 51.9 seconds.
This qualification reflects the significant role played by the Athletics sector at Al Rayyan Club in refining young Qatari talents and preparing them to represent the national teams (“Al Adham”) in major international forums, in cooperation with the Qatar Athletics Federation and Aspire Academy.
