The duo of Aleksandar Mitrović and Rodrigo Moreno turned Al Rayyan’s deficit into a valuable 2-1 win in the match between the two teams this evening at Ahmed bin Ali Stadium in Al Rayyan, concluding the matches of Matchday 16 of the Qatar Stars League (Doha Bank Stars League).
Al Ahli took the lead in the 29th minute through Erik Hernández. Mitrović equalized for Al Rayyan in the 82nd minute, before Rodrigo Moreno scored the winning goal for Al Rayyan in the 90th minute.
With this result, Al Rayyan’s tally rose to 28 points, maintaining their fourth place in the standings, seven points behind the leaders. Meanwhile, Al Ahli’s points remained at 15, placing them tenth in the table.
