Portuguese coach Artur Jorge of Al Rayyan confirmed that the team is fully prepared for the clash against Al Duhail in Matchday 14 of the Doha Bank Stars League. Speaking at the pre-match press conference, he said: “The preparations were at the highest level for facing Al Duhail, especially after the disappointing result against Al Shamal in the previous round. I saw the team fighting hard in training to make a comeback against Al Duhail. There was tremendous work from the players and everyone worked as one unit to secure the three points.”
He added: “Our goal is to lead the league, and our focus is entirely on that. Of course, we follow the results of the other teams. There are two teams that will face each other, and certainly one of them will drop points, which is in our favor. That will be a big motivation for us in the match against Al Duhail to achieve victory and reduce the gap with the top of the table. This must always be the motivation—to win every match. We will try to give our best against Al Duhail.”
