Mohamed Saleh scored a dramatic equalizer in the fifth minute of stoppage time during the match between the two teams this evening at Al Thumama Stadium, ending the Qatar football derby in a 2-2 draw as part of the eleventh round of the Doha Bank Stars League.
With this result, Al-Rayyan increased their points tally to 20, maintaining third place in the standings, while Al-Arabi rose to 17 points, advancing to sixth place in the table.
Roger Guedes gave Al-Rayyan the lead in the 34th minute with a precise cross from Wesley, allowing Al-Rayyan to end the first half ahead by a clean goal.
In the second half, Pablo Sarabia equalized for Al-Arabi in the 52nd minute, before Alexis Pérez scored the go-ahead goal for Al-Arabi in the 73rd minute. In the fifth minute of stoppage time, Mohamed Saleh successfully netted the equalizer.
