Al Rayyan secured a convincing 5-2 win against Lusail in the match held this evening at Abdullah bin Khalifa Stadium at Al Duhail Club, as part of the third round of the QSL Cup.
With this result, Al Rayyan achieved their third consecutive victory, raising their tally to 9 points and topping the standings, while Lusail remained at 3 points.
Al Rayyan took the lead in the 12th minute through Rodrigo Moreno, who doubled their advantage in the 33rd minute. Lusail reduced the deficit with a goal from Amir Roustaei in the 77th minute. However, Murad Naji scored Al Rayyan’s third goal in the 81st minute, followed by Roger Guedes adding the fourth in the 83rd minute. Roustaei scored his second for Lusail, before Moreno completed his hat-trick in the 90th minute to seal the victory.
