Al Rayyan Sports Club has announced the signing of defender Abdullah Yusuf from Al Gharafa on a contract extending until 2030, a strategic move to strengthen the first team’s defensive line for the 2025-2026 football season.
The acquisition of 23-year-old Abdullah Yusuf aims to reinforce the right-back position, where he is regarded as one of Qatar’s brightest talents in the Qatar Stars League. Yusuf shone with Al Gharafa in recent seasons, featuring as a key starter in numerous matches, distinguished by his speed, defensive solidity, and ability to support the attack from the right flank.
This marks Al Rayyan’s second signing of the summer transfer window, following the addition of goalkeeper Mahmoud Abunada from Al Arabi until 2030, reflecting the club’s ambition to build a competitive team blending experience and youth, especially after finishing as runners-up in the 2025 Amir Cup.
