Al Rayyan Sports Club has announced the signing of goalkeeper Mahmoud Ibrahim Abunada from Al Arabi on a contract extending until 2030, a move aimed at bolstering the first team’s goalkeeping position for the 2025-2026 football season.
The signing of 25-year-old Abunada strengthens the goalkeeper role, as he is considered one of the standout goalkeepers in the Qatar Stars League, thanks to his impressive performances with Al Arabi since his professional debut in 2019.
This marks Al Rayyan’s first signing of the summer transfer window, with the club’s management focused on building a competitive team capable of contending for titles, especially following their runner-up finish in the 2025 Amir Cup.
