Artur Jorge: Proud of the Players, Our Goal is the Title

 

Artur Jorge, Al Rayyan’s head coach, expressed his pride in the players and their performances in the 2025 Amir Cup. Speaking at a press conference held this evening at Khalifa International Stadium ahead of Al Rayyan’s final against Al Gharafa, he said: “I am proud of my players and the determination and fighting spirit they’ve shown on the pitch to reach the final. The presence of His Highness the Amir at the Amir Cup final is an honor for us and a major motivation for the team to win the title.”

He added: “We will approach the final with focus, determination, and great enthusiasm to secure the victory. This match has a unique significance as it’s for a championship title, requiring high concentration and mental preparation.”

Jorge highlighted that he has placed pressure on himself since the tournament began and that everyone is ready for this crucial match. He praised the players’ performances and the remarkable spirit they displayed in previous matches.

Regarding his game plan, Jorge revealed that Al Rayyan took the initiative in their recent semi-final against Al Ahli. He has prepared two strategies for the final and aims to take the lead by scoring early. He noted that he is well-acquainted with Al Gharafa, having observed their recent match against Umm Salal, where they staged a comeback after trailing.

Jorge emphasized that he has thoroughly studied Al Gharafa and that the team’s goal is to win the championship title. “Everyone will give their all and fight on the pitch to secure the trophy,” he concluded.
