Jardim: Al Rayyan’s match against Qatar SC will be tough, and our path in the tournament is not easy

Portuguese coach Leonardo Jardim emphasized that Al Rayyan’s match against  Qatar SC  will not be easy, saying during the press conference held on the sidelines of this match: “We will play against Al Qatari and it will be a tough match. Qatar SC have a very good team, and they have players with great experience alongside some players with international experience. As for Al Rayyan, we will give our all to continue our journey in the Amir Cup and reach the semi-finals of the tournament.”

He added: “We have been one of the best teams in the season since February, losing only two matches against Al Gharafa and Al Wakrah. Currently, the team is focused on the Amir Cup and our goal is to win the next match.”

Regarding Al Rayyan’s journey in the Amir Cup, he said: “In light of talk about luck, we must also talk about respect, as our path includes the second and third-placed teams, and in the other path there are the first and fourth-placed teams. If you look at it this way, there will be equality between the two paths.”

Regarding injuries, he indicated that the team is suffering from some injuries, including Murad Naji, who is unlikely to play in the match, stressing that the team always relies on the players available on the roster.
