Al Rayyan football team has qualified for the Amir Cup quarter-finals after defeating Al Khor 4-1 in a match held at the Al Janoub Stadium on Thursday evening as part of the Round of 16 matches.
Al Rayyan took the lead through a penalty in the 18th minute by Roger Guedes, after Gabriel Pereira was fouled inside the penalty area. Rodrigo Moreno doubled Al Rayyan’s lead with a second goal in the 25th minute after a skillful touch with his heel. In the 62nd minute, Khalid Razzon narrowed the deficit for Al Khor with their first goal, before Tabata added Al Rayyan’s third goal in the 79th minute. Roger Guedes then scored his second goal of the match in the 83rd minute.
Al Rayyan will now face Al Qatari in the quarter-finals on Tuesday.
